Cesc's Hamstring concerns
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has revealed his concerns at his hamstring injury which "keeps coming back".

The World Cup winner has suffered frequent hamstring problems in the last two years, as well as suffering a broken leg last March.
This season, the Spaniard has once again been hindered by injuries and is still not on top form. There have been reports the playmaker would need another stay on the sidelines, and although he says it is a simple muscle fluid problem, the skipper admits the issue won't go away. "The good news is there is no tear on the hamstring, nothing. It's just a little bit of fluid, but it keeps coming back," Fabregas told the club's official matchday programme.

"It's outside the muscle, the 'skin' of the muscle. It's not really a muscle injury, it's fluid that keeps coming back and it's very annoying."

Fabregas believes his constant hamstring problems are due to the amount of games he has played.

"We are working on it, looking at my hips because they are always very tight," he said. "We have to work on it but also understand that I am 23-years-old and I've played many, many games. "Soon I will play my 200th Premier League game as well as nearly 60 for the national team and 60 in the Champions League.  "So that's a lot of games for my age and I have to take care of myself."

Thomas Vermaelen suffers injury Set-back
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that centre-back Thomas Vermaelen has received a set-back to his return from injury.

The Belgian has been out of the squad for more than two months, and after Wenger said on Friday that Vermaelen was "a question of days" away from his comeback, it will be a bitter pill to swallow for the French manager.

"We don't have good news about Thomas Vermaelen," Wenger told the club's official website.

"He had a little set-back yesterday in training and he has to see specialists again. I don't know where we go with Thomas time-wise, but at the moment he cannot play.
"I can't give you any time scale at all. On the scan his Achilles is completely clear but as soon as he stays out for a while it tightens up and he has pain.
"We don't know the source of his pain."

Arsenal Defender Sebastien Squillaci calls on gunners to respond to recent defeats like a 'great team'.
Sebastien Squillaci is adamant his team need to respond to two defeats in a row with a win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.

The French centre-back admitted that the loss against Newcastle United on Sunday was avoidable, but did not offer any excuses and claimed it was not the end for their title chances.

"No [I am not worriedWenger also spoke about midfielder Abou Diaby, who is suffering with an injured ankle.
"Diaby is the same. He has a test Wednesday or Thursday," he noted.
"If he gets through that it will be very quick, if he still has pain he will have to see the specialist."

]," Squillaci told the club's official website, when asked about the season so far.

"We're still third in the Premier League and top of our group in the Champions League.

"But when you play for a team like Arsenal, after two defeats you neeed to respond. A great team doesn't concede three consecutive defeats.

"So the next game will be really important, we need to show that Arsenal are a great team. We need to respond well at Wolves on Wednesday.

"It's too early [to talk about our title chance having gone]. We lost a game but it's not catastrophic.

"The season is long but, for sure, we must not lose anymore points at home.

"We know that home results are very important to be champions."
Some have pointed to the number of games Arsenal have played in recent weeks as the cause behind the recent blip, which included a midweek Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk, but Squillaci refuses to accept that explanation.

"Fatigue is not an excuse," he stated.
"Lots of players didn't play against Shakhtar. We just need to talk about what didn't work and then work on it.
"We're disappointed because we didn't let them have too many opportunities.
"We didn't play a great Newcastle. But they scored this goal, which we could have avoided.
"It is a shame because we had the opportunity to get back on Chelsea and Manchester United and also make a gap on teams behind us."
