Makh the Knife

MAROUANE CHAMAKH has settled in England quicker than he expected.

Arsenal's Moroccan international striker, signed on a free transfer from Bordeaux in May, has already scored five times this season.
And while he angered Birmingham by going to ground easily for a penalty at the Emirates, Chamakh's decider in the victory was quality.
He said: "It's much more than I expected - I set myself some time to adapt to English football and it seems this time is going quicker.
"Five goals in 11 matches is definitely more than what I thought."
This was Arsenal's first Premier League victory in four attempts but Chamakh reckons lifting the title remains within their reach.
He added: "We can do it. When you see the way we are playing and the team we have, it's not a problem.
"Almost every game has to be won, there's no place for any other mistake now."
As for his penalty row with Birmingham, he said: "There was definitely a contact, the defender touched me and then it was all about the ref, to give it or not.
"Against Chelsea, there was a contact as well and the ref didn't give it. Today he did."
