Marouane Chamakh Bordeaux's player of the year?

Marouane Chamakh has recieved honours from his fomer club.

Morocco international and Arsenal’s kingpin Marouane Chamakh has been named Bordeaux’s player of the year 2010 by fans of the French Ligue 1 club, according to a statement published on the club’s website Thursday.
Six months after his departure from Les Girondins, supporters are yet to forget the 26-year-old’s legacy built across seven seasons, scoring 56 goals in 230 appearances. They voted massively to hand him the honorific title, brushing aside goalkeeper Cédric Carrasso (2nd) and Yoann Gourcuff (3rd), who now plays for Olympique Lyonnais.
Chamakh joined the Gunners last July on a free transfer. He has received call ups from Morocco since 2003, appearing in 52 games and scoring 15 goals.
