Wenger World Coach of the Decade

Arsenal’s French coach, Arsene Wenger was named the best coach in the last decade, according to the criteria of the Institute of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
Arsene Wenger has won with 156 votes, eight more than second-placed Alex Ferguson (Manchester United) and 23 over third-placed Jose Mourinho, now coach of Real Madrid. The parameters were taken to determine placement based on the coach in the annual selection of the best. For each of the ten past years, has been singled out IFFHS best ranked 20 coaches in the selection of expert teams from dozens of countries in the world..
Although Wenger has never won IFFHS’s annual award, in total, he collected the most points. Among the 176 selected from a total of 50 countries, most trainers are from South American nations, of which 18 Argentines and 16 Brazilians. Europeans are led by Spain and France, each with 14 coaches.
